Ask About Middle Earth: Eomer Éadig

When Gandalf tells Elrond that “it is in men that we must place our hope,” it’s not just Aragorn that he’s talking about. In Lord of the Rings we see a few other great men that not make the destruction of Sauron possible, but that play huge parts in creating the Age of Men after he is gone….

This is what I keep trying to explain to people! Especially the part about unity. Aragorn is the key to unity, he is the high king, but he can’t do that by himself. The people he has to put the most trust in are Eomer, Faramir, and Imrahil. They are leaders, if they don’t trust Aragorn’s judgement, no one else will. Eomer in particular as a King in his own right, and a leader of a people who made an aliance under the rule of the stewards and not the king, can not be ignored.
The rest is also very well put by the way.
